A week has past since what is now becoming known as 'Black Saturday' - the death toll, the house toll and burnt hectares has risen dramatically... But so has the generosity of people - both locally and globally people have 'dug deep' and given to those who have lost everything... E had some spare hours and so volunteered at one of the call centers taking donations - she was touched by those who rang in with decent donations - considering we are in the grips of a recession she was amazed at the selflessness of others... She returned the next day only to be knocked back as the number of volunteers outweighed the number of phones to be manned...
